Priscilla Lane
First Ride
age 3
First Pony
age 9
Priscilla's love for horses began over
50 years ago, and it is still just as strong
today as it was then. Her first pony,
complete with tack, was purchased for
$100. Working hard with what she had,
Priscilla learned at a young age to bring out
the best in a horse.
With a degree from Virginia Tech in
Animal and Poultry Science, and 20 years
as a veterinary assistant, Priscilla perceives
well the needs of horses. An alumn
us of
the Southern Seminary Intercollegiate
Equestrian Team, Priscilla has a quiet and
gentle hand with the horses,
communicating effectively with young and
old horses alike.
With a strong background in 4-H and
working with youth, Priscilla shines as a
Virginia 4-H All Star. 4-H also sparked her
interest in horse judging. This passion
continues as she currently enjoys judging
local open horse shows.
      Priscilla has trained and shown
Quarter Horses to many titles in riding and
driving classes at prestigious shows such as
the Virginia Futurity, Florida Gulf Coast,
East Coast Championships, All American
Congress, and the AQHA World
Championship Show.
To add a "little" more to Holly Lane
Farm, Priscilla developed a training,
showing and breeding program for
miniature horses. Through this program,
Priscilla has worked with some truly
outstanding minis, has earned many local,
state, regional and national titles, and has
helped bring some beautiful new foals into
the world.
      Priscilla's lifelong commitment to the
horses that she loves, has made her one of
the finest equine professionals in Virginia.
